What’s a Kula?

kula /koo͞ lə/ noun: Family. Tribe. Also, a ceremonial gift exchange practiced among Pacific islanders.

Why KulaCrate?

Education is something we’re very close to. Vaughn’s mom is a retired teacher of 30 years. Shawn’s wife
teaches 3rd grade. Needless to say, we’re very aware of the burdens placed on teachers.

We’re also experienced in global business solutions with many years spent in supply chain, logistics and
helping organizations grow.

KulaCrate is our way of bringing these two worlds together in an effort to make a difference for teachers
everywhere. We’re tackling one of the more complicated, awkward, and unnecessary tasks taking up large
amounts of their time—SCHOOL SUPPLIES.
